Our Story
19 Years of Music,
Community & Heart
Donkey Creek Music Festival has been a beloved Gillette tradition since day one — a free, family-friendly celebration of live music, local artists, and the spirit of Wyoming. From our humble roots to a full-day event filling downtown Gillette, we keep coming back because this community keeps showing up.
Rain or shine, young or old, this is your festival. Bring a chair, a blanket, bring the kids, bring your appetite — and get ready for a day to remember at Big Lost Meadery.

Supporters and Sponsors

The 2026 Donkey Creek Music and Arts Festival would not be possible without the generous support of many organizations, businesses, and individuals.
We would like to thank all of them for their support.
The 2026 Donkey Creek Music and Arts Festival is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Wyoming and the National Endowment for the Arts.
We are also supported by a generous grant from the Campbell County Community Public Recreation District.
We would also like to thank our host and in-kind donor Big Lost Meadery for sharing their venue with us and Two Guys Deco for hosting our Artisan Village.
What can I bring into the festival?
This is an outside event and will be mostly on concrete, so feel free to bring chairs, comfy shoes, and lots of water. Do not forget the sunscreen, and bring the kiddos to enjoy the festivities.
What Is available at the festival?
There will food and drinks available and an artisan village with local and regional artists and craftspeople. Located in historic downtown Gillette, many other restaurants and shops are just a short walk away.
What does the festival cost?
Due to the generous support of the Wyoming Arts Council, the Campbell County Community Public Recreation District, and our sponsors, this event is absolutely free. Don't forget to bring money to support our great vendors and donate towards next year's festival.
